The graph gives information about the age of the population of Iceland between 1990 and 2020.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Essay Sample

The bar graph compares the population of Iceland in 5 age groups from 1990 to 2020.
it is clear that the proportion of age group 25-54 was the highest among other groups and also it increased over the period. However, the population of people in age brackets 0-14 and 15-24 had decreased.
Looking at details, it can be seen the in the beginning of the period, the population of 25-54 years was the highest with around 30% and it rose smoothly and reached just under 50%.By contrast, the population of 0-14 and 15-24 age groups were around 25% and just over 20% respectively. Then they fell down and the 15-24 year was the lowest at the end of the period.
Although, the population of people between 55-64 years was higher than people who were over 65 years old, the age group over 65 overtook from 55-64 age group and was the third lowest by the end of the period and reached around 12%.
